A Short Introduction
Before forming Mulberry Joinery with David Quilley in 2002, Michael enjoyed an illustrious career as a joiner, cabinet-maker and shopfitter, in both the UK and Australia.
Michael developed his stellar reputation for carpentry working with a range of design and joinery companies, and also TV and film productions, accruing a considerable list of well-respected commercial clients, including:
- Binfield Manor (Sultan of Brunei)
- The National Trust
- The British Library
- Warner Bros
- Planet Hollywood
- The Royal Courts of Justice
- Purdy’s of London
- V&A Museum
Michael’s successful career started with him gaining a distinction in a 3-year Advanced City and Guilds in Joinery, which was followed by him receiving recognition from the Worshipful Company of Carpenters for winning both the National Council Apprentice of the Year together with the National Premier Award for Carpentry and Joinery.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing bass in a band that has toured throughout Europe.
